Job Purpose
Within Microsoft Digital, The Infrastructure & Engineering Services team is chartered to deliver innovative experiences across our hosted ecosystem. Experiences such as abstracted hybrid provisioning, intelligent manageability, telemetry, advanced security, and OS management, and implementing modern technologies for network, and hosting infrastructure. Being part of IES, the ideal candidate will own delivering cutting-edge infrastructure services for this large portfolio which includes understanding and delivering against customer-led scenarios ranging from providing modern devices connectivity for global sites, adopting cloud capabilities, Infrastructure compliance, stability, and reliability initiatives and more.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Network Leader to help us evolve our product mindset, drive a growth-mindset culture, and deliver industry-leading results.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years hands-on experience in managing large networks both on-prem and Azure offerings / Appliances.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated track record of leading end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure services and Programs (planning, budget, procurement, installation, configuration, deployment, contract management etc.)
- Expertise in IT infrastructure and Networking technologies.
- Exposure to Cloud technologies would be an added advantage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required for preparing clear, concise, and grammatically correct materials and communicating information effectively to others.
- Solid customer focused, relationship focused pattern of work.
- Ability to create structure from abstract ideas, take initial concepts to full maturity.
- Technically savvy with the ability to solve both technical and non-technical problems.
- BS or MS in computer science, or a related discipline.

Our Cloud Network Engineering team delivers innovative solutions to address the automation needs to scale our delivery capabilities. We are looking for Principal Cloud Network Engineer Lead who is passionate about solving large business problems at scale with technology. You will be responsible for end to end deliverables with a high degree of visibility. We work at a fast pace, in an Agile environment. You must like to deliver value incrementally in a continuous learning environment. Being a foundational layer of Microsoft means that your individual work will have a broad impact across the entire company.
As a leader, you will be interacting constantly across organizational boundaries and providing thought leadership with your partner teams. You will need to deliver through your team as well as collaborate across teams to deliver greater value to Microsoft. You must love to coach and grow the people on your team. Experience of managing at least 5 Network engineers through Model, Coach, Care to deliver impact. Work with Technical PM and Business counterparts to plan and deliver on committed features for each semester. Continuously re-plan the backlog to adapt to changes in priorities/requirements/velocity in an agile environment. Drive Business Impact by aligning engineering systems features with Business Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Enable complex system integration scenarios working with other members of the team and external teams. Work with Product Group owners to drive improvements in the engineering offerings. Share learnings, code assets and engineering excellence-related recommendations with the MSD engineering team
