Lilly Value & Access (LVA) plays a crucial role in Lilly’s mission by engaging with the healthcare ecosystem to enable timely and affordable access to Lilly’s medicines. We are the core business team within Lilly’s US commercial organization. We work with pharmacy benefit managers, health plans, healthcare organizations, pharmacies, wholesalers and distributors, states and the federal government to ensure that patients prescribed a Lilly medicine can get better, faster.

The LVA Strategy & Transformation team is the innovation hub within LVA. Our mission is to demonstrate Lilly’s unique position within the industry to develop and prosecute an innovation agenda that helps Lilly create an elite customer experiences and new healthcare delivery business models.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Digital Strategy & Transformation will be a key leader in the Lilly Value & Access innovation team and will lead the digital innovation agenda for LVA. The ideal candidate will have experience bringing to bear data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to solve business problems. A strong technology background is a must-have; a healthcare background is a nice-to-have. The key job responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and implement the digital innovation agenda for Lilly’s Value and Access organization
  • Become an expert in the US healthcare ecosystem; develop and deliver technology solutions improve the experience of patients taking our medicines and drive growth in our business
  • Become an expert in our internal processes; implement technology solutions to support LVA’s efficiency agenda
  • Understand other components of LVA’s innovation agenda (consumer experience and business model transformation); build a technology substrate that enables ground-breaking innovation across these discrete domains
  • Collaborate with other leaders across the company to ensure LVA alignment with Lilly’s enterprise data strategy
  • Become a leader with vision and enthusiast within LVA on data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and enterprise data strategy

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical domain (e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, or similar)
  • 3 years of relevant experience in tech or tech-adjacent industries
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Preferences

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in tech or tech-adjacent industries
  • Innovative knowledge of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Relevant experience building and/or implementing enterprise data strategies and technology solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity and learning agility
  • Positive contributor to team and organizational culture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience, especially large scale or enterprise level projects
  • Healthcare industry experience

Additional Information

  • Travel: 10-25%
  • This position is based at Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis, IN. Remote candidates will be considered but should expect regular travel to Indianapolis.
