Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Lead Engineer to join our cybersecurity workstream for our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) program. In this role, you will support the establishment of effective cybersecurity programs and capabilities, participate in due diligence and post-acquisition process alignment for CEI growth companies to ensure adequate protection for these investments, owning the management and governance for the processes needed to meet the objectives of the program. Key success factors include the ability to effectively partner with growth companies, communicate CEI’s cybersecurity standards and capabilities and be a trusted advisor.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the M&A program by keeping track of initiatives, key activities, timelines, progress towards outcomes, and outcomes for multiple CEI growth companies.
  • Develop relationships with key business, IT, and privacy stakeholders who will support the implementation of cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Support technology implementations through partnership with various technology providers and teams to implement and extend cybersecurity services that align to Cox Enterprises’ strategy and roadmap.
  • Communicate and escalate cyber risks identified during the diligence period and establish remediation requirements and target dates.
  • Develop metrics and reporting that demonstrates the value of cybersecurity initiatives to an executive audience and tracks program performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 year of experience or 20 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven ability to drive consensus and collaboration among many diverse teams, individuals and functional groups to achieve desired business results.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while meeting all deadlines and manage leaders of teams to achieve optimal results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present relevant conclusions, and recommendations and explain to executives and top management.
  • Experience escalating risk issues to senior technology or company leadership.
  • At least one relevant industry certification - CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.

Preferred:

  • Consulting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing security frameworks such as ISO 27000, NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI Data Security Standard, and CIS Top 20 controls.
  • Experience in national critical infrastructure industries (telecommunications, financial services, defense, government, etc.).
