The Opportunity
This position works out of our Waukegan, IL location.
We are seeking a highly skilled Architect with expertise in the Supply Chain and manufacturing domains.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP functional modules and extensive experience integrating SAP with external Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for both process and discrete manufacturing environments. The candidate will also have expertise in supply chain planning processes, focusing on areas like demand planning, inventory management, and production planning within SAP's APO, IBP, and MRP modules. The candidate will provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes. For various size projects and system changes, they oversee and directly contribute to development and implementation of cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
Partner with functional groups to assess business needs utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities and document clear requirements.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
Configure and customize SAP modules related to supply chain and manufacturing (e.g., SAP MM, PP, QM, WM).
Configure MRP, APO, and IBP solutions to optimize supply chain and planning processes.
Design and implement integration solutions between SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and external MES systems such as Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, and GE Digital Proficy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
Serve as an SAP functional configuration expert to develop, test, and implement significant new solutions. Configure applicable module(s) to design optimal solutions.
Provide support and troubleshooting for SAP and MES integration issues.
Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users.
Develop and monitor manufacturing analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and manage Electronic Batch Records (eBR), Electronic Device History Records (eDHR), and Electronic Lot History Records (eLHR).
Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in SAP functional consulting, specifically in supply chain and manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, and WM.
Proven experience with MES integration in both process and discrete manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with MES systems like Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, and GE Digital Proficy.
Knowledge MRP logic, BOM (Bill of Materials) structures, and production planning processes.
Knowledge of APO modules and understanding of IBP modules and experience with data integrations and reporting.
Worked on Discrete and process-related industries.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in manufacturing analytics and KPI development.
Good understanding of GMP concepts, including eBR, eDHR, and eLHR.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP certification in relevant modules.
Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
Knowledge of industry-specific best practices and standards.

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
