This role is accountable for developing a clear vision of global Information Management services with a strategic roadmap of data capabilities required by each business and own the roadmap at enterprise level. In order to support data needs, this role is responsible for developing and retaining talent to provide information management service’s coverage in regions.
Work closely with business & function partners to determine how information solutions can be leveraged to support business strategies, capabilities and processes
Work in partnership with business and IT to govern Abbott’s total cost of ownership for existing reporting and analytics environments with a focus on standardization and consolidation
Develop KPI dashboards to ensure that the data standards/policies are maintained across the enterprise in accordance with meeting regulatory compliance, maintaining data integrity and improving access to data.
Manage the consolidated portfolio of reporting and information management investments, present progress updates, findings, maintain and report key performance indicators (KPI) on portfolio execution
Provide leadership across Business/IT to establish and evolve global information management strategy
Implement and maintain compliance and controls for all relevant regulations (FDA, CAPA, SOX, CFR, GDPR, etc.) and policies that apply to pharmaceutical, consumer good, diagnostics and medical device industries
Making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes
Constantly improve system performance and reliability through better tools, process, and monitoring systems
Drive the adoption of new technology and methods through evaluation and feasibility research
Implementation of dev-ops culture of working, ensuring new features and changes are deployed quickly and safely
Plan for operational efficiency to scale products, programs, and practices
Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
Minimum of 10 years IT, or software product development experience in large or mid-size multinational businesses, with a focus on data management, analytics and data integration capabilities.
Broad IT ability in various disciplines, that include establishing Agile development methodologies, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, organization change management, etc.
Exceptional track record in delivering complex and cross functional programs with ability to work with multiple vendors to deliver on-time/on-budget projects.
A strong background in technical design / architecture with a solid understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and contemporary design patterns/practices (microservices and API)
Strong experience building and running cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
Financial skills and process skills; an understanding of the company's financial practices and goals - including drivers of process costs.
Demonstrated ability to creatively approach business problems and establish course of action.
Experience working in matrix global organization where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services.
Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) is preferred.

The base pay for this position is $188,700.00 – $377,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
