The Diabetes, Obesity and Complications Therapeutic Area (DOCTA) of Eli Lilly and Company focuses on new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of diabetes, obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. Starting from an idea, we work with partners across Lilly to discover and develop novel biologic, small molecule and nucleic acid-based therapeutics. Our focus is the patient: by understanding the biology and pathophysiology underlying disease states, we aim to address the root cause of disease, and develop breakthrough therapies. Are you a natural problem solver, interested in making processes and workflows as transparent and efficient as possible to accelerate science? In this dynamic role, you will work with partners across DOCTA to coordinate complex clinical and basic research workflows, including computational biology, human genetics, and exploratory biomarker related projects. As part of this role, you will map internal processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and work in a matrixed environment to drive delivery on scientific objectives in a fast-paced research environment. Understanding of computational workflows, biomarker assays, and metabolic disease required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track project progress and performance, including maintenance of transparent and accessible project documentation (timelines, budgets, status), ensuring all team members and partners have access to up-to-date project information
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with partners; develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation; identify project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional project teams, facilitating communication and ensuring clarity and accountability
- Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules and identifying potential risks and mitigations proactively
- Identifybottlenecks and inefficiencies within DOCTA and proactively identify and implement solutions with partner input
Qualifications :
- Advanced degree (PhD or MD) required
- Proven experience in Project Management in the biomedical space, with demonstrated experience in the computational and biomarker areas
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail
- Experience with project tracking software required; prior experience with JIRA preferred
- Prior therapeutic area experience required

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$168,000 - $294,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
