What You’ll Do
- Shape the Future of Observability : Design, implement, and maintain New Relic monitoring solutions across multiple applications and environments. Customize and optimize New Relic dashboards to visualize key performance indicators and metrics effectively. Develop alerting strategies to proactively identify and resolve performance issues before they impact users.
- Build a Center of Excellence : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend enhancements. Conduct root cause analysis on application performance issues, leveraging New Relic tools for deeper insights. Provide training and support to team members on best practices for using New Relic and performance monitoring.
- Lead Innovation : Stay updated on New Relic features and functionalities and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve monitoring capabilities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in the technology field, or a combination of a master’s degree and up to 2 years' experience, a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field
- Requires strong knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS platform types.
- Proven experience as a Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer or in a similar role with a strong background in application performance monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of New Relic features such as APM, Infrastructure, Synthetics, Distributed Tracing and Insights.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, application architectures, and performance tuning strategies.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript for automation and custom monitoring solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex log data and performance metrics to derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
- Degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, etc.)
- Experience in SPLUNK, Ansible and similar technologies
