The primary focus of this position is to provide oversight and direct operations of the global process teams supporting the Order To Cash (OTC) functional area. The Business Process Manager will be responsible for definition and implementation of operational procedures and service performance improvements. This role leads the development of the business process design and implementation of business process standardization, harmonization and improvement programs (i.e., continuous improvement initiatives) within the respective functional process area.
Understand and drive the vision and strategy of their respective business functional area as follows:
With the respective Global Process Owner (GPO), act as the global point of contact for their process and provide leadership for process area operations.
Work collectively and collaboratively with global and regional teams within and across their functional area as part of a matrixed organization.
Contribute to long range strategic planning by providing insight into process are growth projections and/or improvement strategies.
Collaborate with ERP program team as needed to drive prioritization of initiatives and lead business process harmonization activities aligned to overall ERP strategy.
Partner across global process functional teams and BTS/BSS teams to build and maintain strong working relationships across other organizations and customer base.
Provide operational process support and expertise for M&A and divestitures.
Lead and monitor continuous improvement initiatives related to respective functional process area including process standardization, simplification, and technology innovation.
Develop baseline metrics and service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure effectiveness of deployment initiatives through the 30/60/90 post hypercare process.
Support development and preparation of solid business cases for identified technology based continuous improvement initiatives helping to ensure the details are accurately captured in executive presentations outlining the business value for Abbott in alignment with the overall strategy.
Be a trusted advisor to BTS leadership on respective functional process area.
Work with BTS leadership to turn business objectives into actionable plans and deliver expected outcomes.
This role must be able to build consensus within the respective functional process area as well as across functional process areas when required. This includes influencing without direct authoring across towers, divisions, and geographies.
This position must be viewed as a process leader supporting the GPO within the respective process thread including influencing multiple levels of the organization as applicable, including but not limited to General Managers, Finance Directors/Controllers, Supply Chain leaders, Order Management/Customer Service, Commercial leaders, Master Data organizations, procurement professionals and vertical leads, IT teams and leaders, etc.
Requires interaction and collaboration across functions as new processes are designed and/or existing processes re-engineered including BSS, Internal/External Audit, SOX PMO, Legal, etc.
7-10 years’ experience in respective thread (i.e. Order Management/ Billing/ AR).
Formal continuous improvement training (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Class A) is expected.
Experience with benchmarking and/or facilitation of service level agreements.
Ability to collaborate in a cross functional global team for problem solving/issue resolution.
Program and/or project management experience.
Must have business case development experience with adequate finance skills.
Strong project planning skills with ability to facilitate activities across management level.
Able to see the big picture, speculate and conceptualize outcomes and identify trends.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
