Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior OneStream Application Engineer to join our team! The Senior OneStream Application Engineer is a financial system professional whose skills, experience, and in-depth understanding of Corporate Performance Management platforms and back-office finance functions/processes provide vital expertise to support the ongoing maintenance, support, and evolution of our enterprise-wide financial solutions.

In this role, you will maintain and support our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) production applications and databases (OneStream platform), including, but not limited to, loading data, monitoring production processes, providing end-user support, and provisioning user access/security.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and team members to define end-user requirements and functionality specifications for OneStream functionality and data, which are used for business planning and management reporting across the company.

  • Gathers requirements and designs high-level code needs for data loads.

  • Runs month-end close reconciliations, checks & balances for accuracy and timeliness.

  • Responsible for scenario maintenance and administrative system tasks to prepare for critical business cycles, such as month-end close and plan cycles.

  • Maintains production databases and processes to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility, and recoverability of data.

  • Performs quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.

  • Designs/builds new reports, supports dashboard builds and modifies existing OneStream solutions according to user specifications.

  • Partners with the Finance, Accounting, and Business Operations organizations to support their day-to-day interactions and use of OneStream.

  • Understand functional and technical components of Accounting and OneStream.

  • Develop ad hoc analyses to support various non-standard planning/reporting inquiries and activities.

  • Leads problem determination (root cause analysis) and documents the source of problems and their resolution. 

  • Recognizes and analyzes trends in errors to identify and install long-term solutions.

  • Train accounting users on the tool and its connection to OneStream and the balance sheet.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 4 years of experience or 10 years of experience in a related field and no degree

  • Experience with OneStream required

  • Experience with financial management/planning tools is a plus.

  • Substantial (4-10 years) experience working in finance organizations, with a solid understanding of the nature of work performed by financial analysts, controllers, finance directors, and CFOs.

  • Must have 2 or more years working as a OneStream administrator, with proficiency in performing maintenance tasks across the following application components: Cube Chart of Accounts (dimension/hierarchies), Cube Business Rules\Calculation Logic, Data Collection Templates, Data Integrations (Data Sources, Transformation), WorkFlows, and Dashboard & Reports

  • Well-vetted understanding of financial consolidation and planning tools in the Corporate Performance Management ecosystem (OneStream experience is required).

  • Proven ability to work under the direction of a lead person but must also demonstrate self-initiative and leadership skills.

  • Ability to identify and understand problems and issues and develop solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.

  • Advanced financial analysis skills.

  • Financial modeling and data analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations.

  • Ability to adapt to change in accordance with the business needs of the organization.

  • Operate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have a strong attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of functional areas of support.

Preferred

  • A BS/BA degree in a related discipline is strongly desired (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.).

  • SQL scripting and data analysis skills.

  • Knowledge of SDLC practices.
